Dear Friends of Explorit,
The Explorit Science Center, a beloved local nonprofit dedicated to igniting and fostering curiosity about science and nature, is facing a critical financial challenge. Despite recently raising program fees and the support of generous donors, costs continue to rise, threatening the future of our programs. Absent immediate community support to help bridge this difficult situation, Explorit may be forced to dramatically scale back the scope of our activities.
For more than 40 years, Explorit has provided meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that inspire curiosity and a lifelong passion for science. We believe that science should be accessible to everyone, and now more than ever, we need the community’s help to continue our reach and impact.
Explorit’s dedicated team of educators, scientists, and volunteers deliver interactive science experiences to school-based groups in Yolo County and beyond, providing over 230 school programs that reached more than 8,500 students in the last year alone.
Explorit relies on contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations that share a commitment to science education. These generous donations help fund interactive exhibits, community programs, and educational resources that benefit thousands of
students and families each year. Your support makes these programs possible.
Explorit is committed to finding long-term solutions through a new strategic plan to diversify its revenue sources, but it needs immediate support to bridge this financial gap. Your donation today will allow us to deliver scheduled programming for the remainder of the academic year and to reach more young, inquiring minds across Northern California.
Please visit www.explorit.org/donate to make a contribution and help Explorit continue to sow the seeds of curiosity that will empower critical thinking in generations to come.
