The Explorit Science Center Board of Trustees thanks the community for making our inaugural Science Expo an amazing success.
In partnership with 24 organizations, we hosted more than 500 visitors on Saturday, Oct. 5, a testament to the value our community places in experiencing science firsthand. Visitors experienced hands-on science delivered by passionate educators on topics ranging from astronomy to zoology. We are delighted that the following organizations participated: Bohart Museum of Entomology, Cache Creek Conservancy, California Raptor Center, Citrus Circuits, Cool Davis, Davis Astronomy Club, Digital Minds Robotics, MOSAIC Children's Museum, Novonesis, Science of a Plant-based Diet, Tuleyome and Yolo Basin Foundation.
We are extremely grateful for the financial and in-kind support from Bayer; Cunningham Engineering; Davis Food Co-op; Hyatt House Davis; Novonesis, Nugget Markets; Sheila Allen, Yolo County supervisor elect; Supervisor Jim Provenza’s District 4 Community Benefit Fund; Tandem; UC Davis College of Biological Sciences; Upper Crust Baking and the Yackzan Group.
Explorit’s mission is to ignite and foster curiosity about science and nature through inquiry and discovery. Community support is critical to achieve our mission, and we are strengthened by the generosity of our community and the financial support of our donors and sponsors.
We invite the community to learn more about what is happening at the Explorit Science Center — including our new exhibit, Blast Off! Journey Through Our Solar System -- by visiting our website at: https://www.explorit.org/
