Next, we are having rising Kindergarteners in their very own camp. “Storytime Science” has young scientists learn the science behind their favorite children’s books. Listen to a science story book, discuss the science behind it, and finish the morning with related craft activities and hands-on experiments. This camp will run June 20-July 3, from 10am-11:30am each day.
Take a deep dive into our earth with “Digging Into Geology”. Sedimentary, igneous, metamorphic, oh my! Campers will learn about the three different types of rocks, geographical formations, the rock cycle, and how engineers try to predict and build around our ever-changing landscape. This camp is designed for campers entering grades 3-5. Offered July 7-11.
“Fizz, Bang, Squish”, have fun with molecules in the chemistry lab! Make slime, stand on ooze, and investigate how solids, liquids, and gases can create fantastic changes. This camp is designed for campers entering grades 1-2. Offered July 14-18.
Extra, extra, “Read All About It!”. Campers delve into the science behind popular children’s books. Participants do experiments based on the stories read in camp and complete hands-on crafts to take home. This camp is designed for campers entering grades 1-2. Offered. July 21-25.
Blast off with “Space Explorers”. If you had a spaceship, where would you go? Discover planets and moons of the Solar System as we equip ourselves for a journey to space. This camp is designed for campers entering grades 1-2. Offered July 28-Aug. 1.
“Creature Comparisons” has campers exploring how different animals have adapted to move. Whether taking flight, diving deep, or crawling around; campers will explore all the different ways animals have evolved to survive. This camp is designed for campers entering grades 1-2. Offered Aug. 4-8.
Wrap up the summer season by exploring the wide world of science with “Science Sampler”. Campers learn about zoology, botany, physics, circuits, and more! Use real tools such as microscopes, balances, and magnets in camp labs. This camp is designed for campers entering grades 1-2. Offered Aug. 11-15.
